Power Steering 2003 Durango

Asked by Flyfisherperson Nov 05, 2014 at 03:55 PM about the 2003 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took my 2003 Durango to two places to have a front end lineament, both said they
said they could not do the lineament because of a internal problem steering problem
and they could not tell me what the problem is. I have also have had problems with
the power steering being hard to turn and recently when it is cold in the morning it is
like there is no power steering for the first 2 to 3 minutes ,afterwards the steering is
easier to turn, but the steering still remains somewhat to  hard to turn

Control value or gearbox or pressure switch!! Gearbox has that play in the steering problem! Pressure switch has that idle control problem that makes the vehicle work harder or not enough to power the pump to work good to turn normally. Control value is the value that pushes the fluid in the direction you are turning the vehicle.
