2012 MERCEDES C250 a/c lights come on but the system itself doesn't turn on and no air blowing out??

Hi. I have a 2012 C250 Mercedes with 80,000 miles on it.  A/C was working
fine, no problems. Got in the car yesterday. Started the car and turned A/C
on, but nothing happened except the lights came on.  No air hot or cold. I
could hear a soft sound wh n I turn the system on but nothing happened.
Help??   Thank you so much.

Does the car have climate control, or just AC? Climate Control usually has a temperature setting, and a button called "AUTO". Make sure you press the auto button to let the system regulate the temperature automatically. Most Climate Control systems will actually wait for a few seconds to a few minutes before they really kick in. Of course, it could be that there is an issue with the blower or the AC compressor, but best to check your settings first.

I press the a\c bottom and box with the check lights up for only a second the it turn's off what could be the problem?
