My Odyssey passenger side door tries to close about 3/4 the way then beeps and opens back up.

Asked by piahonda May 08, 2014 at 11:09 AM about the 2006 Honda Odyssey EX-L FWD with DVD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have sometimes been able to turn it off and on from the drivers controls and it would
close. Other times I have had to help pull it into the closed position. It seems to do this at
random times. Help please!!

Sometimes the best remedy - if you don't mind losing any codes from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) is to pull the negative battery cable off 30 seconds and then back on and reboot your car just like a computer. 10MM nut FYI and have your radio code ready. This likely will fix your random side doors.
