Auto air conditioner

Asked by Guru9XXZXQ May 11, 2021 at 07:16 PM about the 2012 Toyota RAV4 Base 4WD

Question type: General

The ac blows only warm air with a chemical smell.   It was fine last fall.  Does it
just need a recharge or is it much more serious?

With a chemical smell involved you should have a pro look at it. The evaporator may be leaking. Not dangerous but not just a simple recharge either. Hope that helps! Jim

Take it to an AC shop, either way it needs to be inspected or charged by a professional
