screeching sound in brakes

I have a 2012 Kia Soul.  after about 3 months I noticed a screeching sound from front of car,  when going in reverse.

took to kia dealer for 5k mile check up and was told not to worry...just build up on brake rotors and sound is the scrapping it off.  was told that there was nothing they could do to stop it.

bought in March 2012  NO new car should be making noises that cannot be fixed.

any thoughts

I had this with my Element, and it was the rear differential fluid. I looked it up online on how to do it myself and it was easy and cost less than 20.00. Good luck! Stacy

I have the same issue with my 2012 kis soul. I got the run around at the dealership that my rotors are corroded. I would need to get all four resurfaced for a charge of 400 with an additional 80 a pad. The car is two years old, how is this not covered under the warranty?
