Console check engine, ABS brake, Battery and power steering light illuminate but car starts and runs fine.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My entire dash lights up and my steering wheel is frozen but my car starts and runs fine.
I have replaced my alternator and my battery with no fix.  Not sure what is going on.  Has
anyone else had this problem or does anyone had an answer as to why this would be?
Very frustrating.

There is a linkage that should lock the Gear selector and steering wheel when the key is in the off position The linkage is damaged or the key mechanism is broken Even if I got the steering wheel free I would not drive that car until the problem was corrected

Agree with tom,it is in the ignition switch,have switch replaced.

have seen probably haven't come up with the results illusion but ignition sounds correct how much are ignition for a 2012 Kia Sportage.

While test driving a 2013 Kia Rio the instrument panel lit up. With the ABS light, brake light, traction control, air bag lights all lit. We also lost power steering. Any fix for this? 2 Answers

We need to know if this is a problem that can be fixed. When we got it back to the dealer the car was running fine. They couldn't find any history of error codes. Suggestions?
