Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2002 dodge caravan that seems to be
using a decent amount of oil I haven't seen any
leaks it has 78k on it I'd say it uses 2 quarts of oil
in 3k miles anyone know what I could replace to fix
the issue

Two quarts in 3,000 miles is a lot but if you can live with it you can probably drive the car for years this way. I would replace the PCV but odds are you would have to rebuild the engine to stop the oil usage. Does it smoke at all? If so when does it smoke?
I haven't seen any smoke or blue tint of smoke at all or leaks.. I was actually gonna try to replace that piece along with the hose that connects to it hopefully that helps I'd hate to. Have to get rid of it seeing how it only has 78k on it
What weight oil are you using? How often do you change oil?
Oil gets changed every 3k or alil over that n it takes 5w30... It's our only vehicle so it gets used ALot my gf drives an hour to work an a hour back so that ten hours of driving within five days plus to the store n apt n what not
I don't know much about cars I didn't know I could use other oils since it calls for 5w30
If you live in arctic cold I would reserve the 10W40 oil for the warmer months.
Nope. Don't live in the artic lol altho it's about 5 degrees outside right now.. I live in PA
Wait until spring to try the heavier oil. Good luck to you!
