Window motor and regulator

Why do they make a 2 pin aftermarket driver window regulator with motor as a
replacement when the OEM comes with 6 pin connector. what's the function of
the extra pins?

Well, the aftermarket part sold for this model states that it comes with a two pin plug not a 6 pin plug like the OEM, however is is consider an OEM replacement part. I plugged the new one and all windows work so I was confuse as to what the other pin functions is for.
