car sputters and hesitates during idle and while car is stopped any ideas??

took car in for oil change and tech didn't put oil cap back on and while driving car oil was
all over engine underneath hood.  garage sprayed degreaser on entire engine and under
hood to clean oil off then sprayed with hose to clean off degreaser...now engine light on
and car sputters and hesitates during idle..spark plugs checked ok...ck for water in the
spark plug valleys...and dry

They could have knocked a vacuum hose loose with the pressure wash. But yeah, that's pretty retarted when you let a car go without the oil cap on. Normally for future reference (if you care, idk) what I do is put the cap on the hood latch so IF I forget about it and slam the hood shut, I only have to pay for a new oil cap not an entire engine.
