2012 F150 Ford Transmission issues

If I am in traffic or at a stop light the trans starts to act up.  I have to rev it up to get it in higher gears.  Once in 5th, if I take my foot off gas it drops to 3rd and rpms go up.  If in 6th, it drops to 4th and rpms go up.  If at stop light, I take foot off brake, will not start moving only makes groaning sound and jerks.   

Checked fluid and updated software.  No codes were present and no yellow wrench.

Sounds like you have a 6R80 transmission (six speed) My transmission began having problems at 38K. Fixed under warranty. Valve body went out due to contaminates fouling solenoids in tranny.. Entire valve body replaced at no charge, but bill showed 1900 bucks with 1200 for the body itself. Ford mechanic stated these trannies should have the tranny fluid and filter changed at fir 25K and every 25K miles thereafter with alternating filter change every second change.
