2002 dodge dakota o2 sensor questions

i need to replace one of the two o2 sensors on my 2002 dodge dakota. Parts guy asks post or pre.....left or right of cat....ive searched on and off all day cant find the answers. Please help!!!  
my guess is pre and left...

What motor is in the truck? If you got someone to pull the code it should have told them. Sensor one would be before the cat. converter and sensor two would be after it. That if your truck is federal emissions. if its calfifornia emissions then it will have 4 o2 sensors.

theres actually 3 if i remember correctly. theres one for each manifold, to measure each bank, and then theres one after the cat. Bank 1 sensor one is the driver side, before the cat Bank 2 sensor1 is the passenger side before the cat. if the code comes back as a "sensor 2" its the one after the cat. "sensor 1" is always pre cat. "sensor 2" is always post cat.

There are 4 02 sensors in the Dakota. 2 pm each side

Negative!! I have an 03 Dakota and just read from a Dakota forum. Some only have a total of 2 sensors because there is only 1 catalitic converter. Attached is a schematic that is exactly like my truck. I have traced each exhaust from the manifold to the converter. only one sensor ahead of the converter.

My 2003 4.7 California version has 2 cats and 4 sensors. Fk'n liberals. We're just lucky.
