HVAC fan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My fan only works on max for about 15 seconds.  No air comes out on
stations 1-3.  After 15 seconds, air volume cuts way down and humming or
rubbing sound comes from what sounds like behind the lower passenger
side dash.
I've replaced the blend door actuator and the blower motor resistor with no
improvement.  Please offer any suggestions.

Blower motor bearing shot, maybe. It's a 12V DC motor. Not hard to remove. Take it out and hook it up to 12 volts, It's polarity sensitive so make sure it is running in the right direction. Ascertain if there is excessive wobble. Motor should also turn freely when spun by hand.
