What do I do about a check engine light?

I took my 2012 Outback in for a oil change. When I went to leave, the check
engine light was flashing and some of the dash instruments weren't working. I
went back to find out what they did. They said they had a fuse they didn't put
back right. It cleared the light and the dash was working again. But when I
went home and then started the car the light was flashing again. Will this
eventually clear or do I need to take it in? I checked the gas cap and
disconnected the battery for a half hour.

I am trying to understand why a fuse was removed during an oil change. Maybe it is something specific to a Subaru, not sure about this. If the flashing light returns, I would go to a local autoparts store and have the vehicle scanned and post the trouble code here or do some "googling" on the code.
I thought the same thing about the fuse. I am going back and ask them what exactly they messed with. Thanks
I read something regarding a 2010 model where temporarily inserting a spare fuse in a diagnostic plug shuts off the low oil level warning that occurs from low oil level or low oil level occurring during an oil change. The fuse is inserted to turn off the light and then the fuse is removed. Maybe they think this has to be done on all Subarus? Do some "googling" for inserting a fuse during oil change on Subarus.
That's what worked you are right. The shop didn't remove the fuse they put in the blank spot. They took it out and the check engine light cleared. Thanks for the help.
I work at Autozone if you have one near you take it there have the code checked and they will print out a list of probable causes for the light coming on ,,REMEMBER this is just a starting point be very careful about buying parts you don't need good luck
