This isn't important, but I'm curious to see if I can find out when my used 2012 Forester was manufactured. Her VIN indicates that her "sequential production number" is 419876. I've found that the first 2012 Forester rolled off the line on 5/25/11; they stopped production on 3/13/12. The original owner of mine had an "FSS" (checkup, add fluids, etc.) on 3/19/12, when it had only 3718 miles on it.

I can't find a figure anywhere for the total number of 2012 Foresters produced! (But then, does her "sequential production number" reflect all of Subaru's products in CY 2012, or is she the 419,876th model year 2012 Forester? :-)
