I boosted another car with my f-250 super duty and now it clicks when I try t start it

While I boosted the other car , the battery cable begin to smoke now my truck
just clicks when I try to start it for the first time. After the first attempt, it starts
with no problem

Inspect and clean all of the battery terminals and the connection to the starter.
