Will a transmission from 2001 work in a 2003, both Crown Vics

It should fit perfectly, but be sure that both cars have same liter like 4.6L, and check that both transmissions have the input and output speed sensor , they need to have the same plugs everywhere, if the transmission of the crown vic 2003 has the two speed sensor but the 2001 only have one, is going to work either but is going get damage real fast because the computer is gonna get a bad speed signal and so the internal solenoids are not going to work properly . About installing it is real easy. When you do the job if you have any questions let me know.

Thank you, but I put the wrong year. It is a 2001 trans, but can it go in a 2005. Please say yes

Tip, the cross member is really hard to take out so use a good pry bar , loose the four 13 bolts and the two 15 nuts in the middle and remenber to take out the emergency brake cable, and then take it out

I'm trying to figure out if I should take on a job this big , iv never done it alone !, um , is it super hard to change a 2006 crown Vic ???,,, I'm kinda short on funds I'm gonna buy a tranny from the junk yard a pray that it works ?, any tips out there / on pulling my own trans ?, and installing the thing ?. 03 will physically fit but sensors are different. it wont work in an 08
