03 crrown vic police interceptor runs rough after engine wash sprayed a lot of water near air intake

Water. Electronics and gas powered engines don't mix. You got something wet and now it's not functioning properly. Probably the AFM.

What happens most of the time that water gets below the spark coil boot and turns to steam and of course the spark jumps and misfires . Remove coil with boot and dry out the best you can with paper towels , then apply WD-40 to boot and a little on plug..This will displace any moisture until it drys out . ( Spark coil assembly's are easy to remove. Detach wire plug by pushing up on latch , then use 7mm socket or wrench, remove hold down screw. Give a twist and tug and pull out..
