is the motor shot on a 3.5 -2002 Dodge Intrepid if the timing belt breaks??

My Car just quit..and it sounds funny when it turns over??..and wont start??..how do I know if the belt broke??..its a 3.5 Engine

I replace the cam shaft sensor already..does it need a crank position sensor??

Open the oil fill cap. See if you can see valve train parts though it. Have some one crank it and see if you see movement. It nothing moves then you probably have a bad timing belt. I think you will be ok about bent valves. Most U.S. Car company motors are not valve benders.
