My daughter has a 2013 Ford Escape
which had a severe engine failure light
come on. She shut the car off ,after 2
minutes restarted and everything has been
fine since.(2days)what could have caused
this?

What is a severe engine failure light? If the check engine light is on then there will be codes stored in the computer which you should have read to know what is going on.
