2013 Ford Edge blows hot air on passenger side when A/C is on

when we turn on the A/C, the drivers side works fine,  but the passenger side
blows hot

Mode door problem, either a bad servo motor or a broken door itself.

Have you tried resetting the ac module by simultaneously pressing the defrost and climate control power buttons and then pressing the climate control power button two more times? There are several youtube videos on how to do this. We have the same issue with our Edge and this reset gets it working fine for another few weeks.
