Console to Column gear shifter(automatic) is it possible?

I have a 2013 Ford Explorer that has a console gear
shift(automatic) can I change it to the column mounted
one? Is that possible/can it be done? I absolutely hate it in
console such a waste of space.

If the column shift was an option the swap is possible but such a swap would be very costly and troublesome. Just buy a car with the features you want.

Police and emergency services models did and still do have an old fashioned column shifter because the cops want the console for their gear.

Hello guys! Following @Austin question Has anyone done it? I want to convert my 2019 Ford Explorer that has a console gear shift(automatic) to column mounted one like in FORD EXPLORER Police Interceptor. I need to do it becouse it will be easie to transfer from wheelchair to a driver seat. Is that possible/can it be done
