2013 Ford Explorer shuts off while driving

Asked by GuruGTNNN Aug 18, 2020 at 11:53 AM about the 2013 Ford Explorer Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Over the last 2 weeks, my Explorer just shuts off while I am driving it.  Radio
and AC stay on.  If I pull over, I can turn it completely off, and then back on, and
it's fine........until the next time.  I get a notice on the dash indicating SEE
MANUAL with a wrench, however, all I find is that yes, this is a problem, but no,
there is no recall and no fix.  How can that be?

There might be a problem with your ignition or lack of fuel. I've seen some tips here: https://www.howacarworks.com/advanced-driving/what-to-do-if- the-engine-stops As for the the OEM ignition with quality try finding here: https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/ignition
