Why was my car not recalled?

No, there's nothing you can do. My 1993 Caprice, which was made in June of 1993, wasn't included in a recall for 1994 models made from June of 1993 through December 1993 for faulty gas tank straps. I was told that because my car was not a 94 model, even though it was literally the same car, I would have to pay for new straps. My gas tank never fell off the vehicle but it never made any sense to me. Hope that helps! Jim

You can repair any issue yourself or have a local garage help you replace any part, just that Ford won't pay for it. You didn't specify what recall, but it shouldn't be all that much I would think.
