I cannot find the STARTER battery for my 2013 SL550 (SL ROADSTER)

I am very car knowledgeable but I cannot find the STARTER battery for my
SL550 2013 model. Supposed to be in the passenger side engine comp't but it
simply is not there--where is it? And yes I know the jump start points in the
same area but no battery only a sealed box containing all manner of elec-
trickery. FRUSTRATED as nothing about it in the owners manual either!

It's inside the car hidden in a compartment behind the passenger side seat.
