I was exciting off the highway and ran over what I
thought was cardboard, but by the time it was too
late I saw it was a drawer to a dresser . It tore out
my undercarriage. My question is, how will that
affect my car in the rain, running over puddles. I
have a 2012 Honda Civic ???

It depends on how bad the damage is. Did you get under the car to check yet? Have a mechanic position the car on a lift to inspect it.

Chances are if you had damage to the car you would have known by now after driving it home. Road hazards can cause damage to brake and fuel lines, the ebrake cable, wheels and suspension, radiator, oil pan, transmission pan, and gas tank. If you suspect you have any damage to the car and can't inspect it yourself, take it to a shop.
