My car jerks when sitting at a stop. I see the rpm's bump up a little too. What could be causing this?

check the fuel pump and get the fuel fitter clean.
The throttle body could be sticking and it might need to be cleaned to remove carbon build up. A faulty TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) could also cause this to happen but it would/should set a trouble code that would cause the check engine light to come on. I also always warn that guesses without real diagnostics are just guesses. Good luck
Did you ever find out why your car did that Elantra 123. I am currently having that same problem.
I did code reader check and it was coil pack number 2 and that sovel the problem
I have this problem too on my elantra 2013, in idle the RPM gauge flactuates and dropes down suddenly and goes up, for example 600 rpm dropes to 500 and returns back every 20 seconds, check engine light is not on and the diag donot show any fault code, i changed 4 sparg plugs and one coil that was suspected and cleaned the trottle... but didnot solve problem, can you help me?
Im currently having that same problem. I also got a tune up and fuel injection cleaned. Im going to look at the idle air control value, next. Maybe thats what it is.. im not sure, myself yet.. the check engine light is not on either.. but its frustrating. Lets keep each other posted. Thanks. Good luck.
