have the codes read,good place to start.
That's what I plan but just trying to figure out if safe to do after work tomorrow
I plan on getting codes. Once the speed gets up there the noise stops. I'll try to drop it off somewhere tomorrow.
They think it was camshaft sensor but weren't totally sure. Went to auto zone for the reading
It's a issue with the variable valve timing ( VVT ) over advanced.
The guy at auto zone said not a huge fix, but part is spendy. He said it would be ok to drive for a little bit til I can get it in do you agree?
Don't ever take the advice of the guy at Autozone. That advise sometimes is correct, but other time can cost you big money. I would get that car to a shop ASAP. Noise from the engine is never good.
Well the noise stopped but I'm on the way to drop it off. Hopefully it's not too expensive
