Active Grill Shutters

I hit a raccon and it took out my whole grill the active grill shutter part was just hanging we took it off knw check engine light is on is it ok to drive without it

the shutters are fine but the motor to run them throwing code p1D73 check engin light on

is there a way to keep them open untill u get the new part?
