First make sure the battery terminal connections are clean and tight. Is the battery light on ?

Check to see how much voltage it is putting out. Usually 12.4 volts should be minimum. I would check all your fuses to make sure any ignition or pcm fuses are bad.

The battery light usually comes on if the alternator was not charging next have battery tested for charge . Can you jump vehicle and get it started? If so and the battery light is not on I would say you have a bad battery but best to still to get the alternator tested to make sure it is changing correctly.

I have been having the same problem with my dodge dart. I have had my battery checked and they said that there is not a problem. I charged the battery yesterday because it was dead again. Went to start it this morning and it won't start again.

I'm having the same problem with my dodge dart. Good battery, no fault lights, and it won't start. If I press down on the read terminal connection everything seems to turn back on in the car but the moment I go to crank it everything turns off. Once in awhile I can get it to start but I've had this issue ever since I got the dart and it just gets worse and worse.

Hello ! I own a Dodge Dart 2015. I started my car to go to an appointment about 1 month ago and 2 stops later, I tried to turn at the intersection and everything stopped working and my battery light appeared on my dashboard and i couldn't give any gas or move my wheel much. My car came to a stop and I pushed it out of the way. Someone boosted me with their battery and I was able to finish my day. The day after, when coming back from work late at night, it did the same thing and nobody was available to jump me. I took an Uber home and called my dad first thing in the morning. We went to my car and he was able to boost me since he has a big truck with 2 batteries. We brought it to a garage where they said my battery couldn't hold its charge. We changed it for a completly new one and they tested again to see if the alternator was charging it correctly which it was. Perfect, I thought it was finally over. 3 weeks later, after coming back from a vacation where no one used my car during that period of time, I use my car again to go to work. Once again, it does the exact same thing. I was able to restart it afterwards by turning off the engine and then trying again while pumping the gas pedal. It ended up restarting after a few tries. We went to see them again and told them something was still wrong. They looked at it and said it was fine and the battery and alternator didn't have a problem and that it was probably some freezing in my gas. I have been using anti-freeze for the gas lines and it is still doing it. I have to start my car 10 minutes before using it if I don't want it to stop while driving and even then, sometimes it still does it. This is getting really annoying and I completly lost trust in my vehicule and everytime I drive around I'm scared it's going to just stop and nobody in the garages seem to care or find anything wrong. I am now turning to the Internet for help and I am really sorry for this long ass message. I really hope someone can enlighten me and help me so I can regain trust in my car that I usually love so much.

I had the same issue Not until a friend, who was also the mechanic I called for help, pulled off my plug wiring harness and was surprised to see underneath a broken plug wire that from top view visual was in great shape. He couldn’t believe how it had started at all. It was a Nissan century more than 20 years ago, But I have 2013 dart now

Hello i have a 2015 dart. My car was doing the same thing would stop at a light or a stop sign. So we bought a new battery. The next day it did the same thing with a new battery. A man told me after 25,000 miles that they start burning oil. So dodge people will not tell you that because no one would buy there cars. we checked the oil. The oil light never came on. The car was low on oil and i put some in. The dashboard also said oil life was 53% left. So people if your car stops out of the blue for no reason. Check your oil. I have always changed my oil before time is up. The car is running again no problem. I hope this helps alot of people. I will be checking my oil regularly and keeping a quart in the trunk until i get rid of it and will not buy another. The car only had 36 000 miles ovet 5 years old.
