White smoke indicates either of 2 things; 1st, it could be taking on water in the cylinders, watch the smoke and see if it dissapates shortly afte raising from the tail pipe if so, it is the steam generated by water getting into the cylinders, 2nd, hold a shop towel or rag to the tailpipe while it's running and check to see if it is oily, if so then you are taking in a mixture of oil and water, more water than oil, also the smoke will not dissapate as quickly.
