Mazda CX-5 issues
Asked by Tck4324 Jan 14, 2018 at 10:05 PM about the 2013 Mazda CX-5 Touring AWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Car just started not wanting to start. We replaced
the battery, then the fob batteries. Didn’t help. Then
I read somewhere about it could be the brake
switch. So we replaced them. Seemed better but
now a few weeks later the battery is being drained
and I go out to start it and it’s dead. Any ideas
anyone?

Extreme cold does not help battery life. If you live in a very cold area it could be a contributing factor. Is your check engine light on?
Cold has nothing to do with it. Checed alternator already too.

Same problem here! 2013 CX-5 Touring AWD ... and the dealership says it's not the battery. Twice in 2 months the battery goes dead for no reason. At first we thought maybe lights were left on or something. This seems to be affecting many others. My vehicle sits in a garage and it is not cold, outside temps have been well above freezing.
