Vehicle jerking

Whenever I come to a complete stop my vehicle starts to jerk back and forth
as if I was reving the engine while pressing the brakes. What causes this?

It could be as simple and needing new spark plugs (miss-fires) If you haven't changed them in 60 -100k miles you might start there.
