Keyless Start... Can I still use my key if I want to?

Hi all! This may seem like a trivial question, but I'm considering buying a pre-owned 2012
Beetle that happens to have keyless start. I guess I'm kind of old-school, though,
because I don't especially like the push-button start. Would a car like this still have a
traditional key-ignition? Any answers much appreciated!

Nope...got a 2012 Beetle and the spot where the key would insert is missing! Just a hole covered with a decal.
We just purchased a 2012 VW Beetle and didn’t know you don’t have a key-ignition as a backup. What a mistake! My FOB only works if I put it up to the hole! I am so sick over this whole mess! I would not recommend buying one!!!
Check the battery in your remote. Takes a 2032 watch battery. You can find them 2 for $1.00 at dollar tree. That should fix your problem. I was told if the battery in my remote was low to place my fob against the steering wheel and hit the button as you described
