Right rear passenger door latch.

Asked by GuruBXBD1 Dec 23, 2018 at 08:52 AM about the 2013 BMW X1 xDrive28i AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Few weeks ago opened the door, went to close door and it
would not close. The latch is stuck OPEN and will not
engage. Tried everything. Latch moves freely(unlike
functioning latches that are stiffer. Does this mean I need
whole new actuator mechanism ?

Did you try using WD40 ? Worked for me when my door latch was sticking.

Did you get this resolved? Both of my rear doors are doing this.
