Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has lots of little problems. It  stutters, has
bad gas mileage,  hard to start and starting today
the gas gauge goes to empty and back to full while
I'm driving.  The check engine light is on and the
codes are 1684 and 0455. I have had a new battery
and cables put on and a new gas cap.

The code P1684 will come on just for the battery being disconnected on some Dodges and Chrysler products but you can go to a parts store and have it cleared for free. If it don't clear, it's most likely a bad connection at the PCM. For the code P0455, check your fuel lines between your gas tank all the to the intake manifold for any leaks and loose clamps.
