I can't get the front brakes off my 01 stratus se, i have never seen brake calipers like this one. How do you take them off to change pads? This is my first dodge car.

there shoould be two ears one atop one bottom they may have little caps covering and alen screw or there maybe visible hex head bolts if not what i described above generally you lossen these and the caliper should pull back and off or there may only be one bolt lossen it and the caliper will flip up then slide it off the top post i hope this helps after removing the caliper you then remove the bracket be sure to clean it throughly filing off any rust as this can be critical to a good pad change if the pad does not float freely in the bracket and is tough to get in then it will not move or function as it should when apllying the break thus in turn creating uneven wear or even unwanted premature wear and another early brake job thats uneeded
