gas smell inside the cabin

Why does my car cabin periodically smell like gasoline?  I can also smell the gas smell periodically in the garage where my car is parked.

I would say you have a leak. Either the fuel tank or a hose, or a leaky injector. Have it checked out ASAP before you have a fire.
