What options are there regarding 2013 hyundai sonata engine replacement?

Our 2013 hyundai sonata clicked, smoked and died on the highway last week.
The dealer is saying there was no antifreeze which ruined the engine. We know
there was antifreeze in the car, saw no leaks, and had no warnings before the
breakdown. What recourse can we take?

Did you blow a hose? The car is 8 years old, buy another one (but not a Hyundai). Not maintaining a car can get expensive.

We have always worked hard to maintain our cars. Even the dealer says they are mystified as to the cause.

Apparently you lost the coolant which would fry the engine in seconds. If you want to know the cause you need to go through the cooling system until you find the problem. When was the last time you check the coolant level? Bottom line. It is an 8 year old Hyundai (long out of warranty) not worth fixing.
