Hi
My car kia rio stopped working all of a sudden while i was on my way home
from work .Now it wont crank nor make a sound while turning over the key. Also
i found that if IG1 relay is removed , car will crank but will not start and when i
put it back car wont even crank. What could be the reason ?

Hi thanks for the reply . I took the car's battery to the shop and they checked and told me it was good . I went to few of the mechanics but most of them guessed some of them said starter could be bad some said issue could be with the key etc. but when i told them that car would turn over when the specific fuse is removed , they seemed confused . One of the mechanic said the problem seems to be with the ECM and he suggested replacing whole module which costs almost 1000$ so I'm confused if i should get it replaced or not. Btw the interior system of the car works perfectly e.g radio locks etc.
