2013 Volkswagen CC Inner tail lights

I have a 2013 Volkswagen cc and recently bulb failure
warning light started to appear. I have checked all fuses
and they are good. I have removed the inner tail light and
installed new bulb too. The reverse light comes but not the
inner tail lights. Is there any solution to do a DIY for this
problem. Service centers are charging 100$/hour which is
too high spinner.

everything is too high spinner. check your relay for that circuit. I don't know where it is but it does exist. good luck

I could not locate the relay box in my car. There is nothing in the manual about the location so quite confused. I can give a look of the lights so that you can have an idea.

It has to be somewhere on the car. Cars are 1/3 electrical 1/3 mechanical and 1/3 plastic to vinyl to rubber or even fiberglass. Try research on YouTube

Will there be a problem of wrong bulb? I mean isn't the bulb correct one to glow properly? I found only one light bulb holder after completely removing tail lights. In replaced them which is working perfectly fine for the reverse gear. But not running as running lights, not working when i use a brake. Please do let me know if you know something.

you can change bulbs all you want BUT beware that you don't have to buy a light with 12v on the packaging. That is so deceptive it's pathetic. It doesn't take that much voltage to get a light to come on!! Besides your wires are only so big. you don't need 12v of juice burning up your guage wire because it's so small.

I too have the same issue. Car is with someone today to look at... Maybe the light cluster is shorting out????

I've been told that it may be the Convenience Control Unit and it may require a software flash update or worst case is either a new one or a second hand one to be reprogrammed ...

Speaking to the original post dated Jul 26, 2020: I have a 2013 CC Sport. I changed out the trunk wiring harness which is a common problem. Then I had to have a VW dealer re-flash the car's computer to clear the error code. All lights now work and warning light in the dash is off.

To all- The photo that pobala posted above, of the rear lights: That one little white light that is lit up in his photo- what is that white light for? A friend pointed out today that only my left-side is lit up. I had no idea that light was there/on. I wasn't in reverse, so it's not a reverse light. I turned parking lights on and it's on then. Is it part of the parking lights? I'm trying to figure out what to research.
