Hackers using CarFax

Asked by Eagleinaz Feb 18, 2019 at 12:08 PM about the 2005 Ford Thunderbird 50th Anniversary Edition RWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I was contact four days ago about my 2005 Thunderbird by a "Lynn" who
wanted a time and location to test drive the car. I sent her a time and location
she rejected it. This morning she sends me a CARFAX email noting when she
can meet. It is the exact time and location I originally sent her. I think this
person is a hacker just like Craig's List is saturated with. They set up phony I.D.'s
in websites like CARFAX and cause deliberate frustration and confusion with its
customers.

Agree 100%. Not sure if it's hackers, but likely other people (or dealers) selling the same or similar car trying to be funny.
