Run the VIN through your local Ford Dealer.

Pasted from that site; "Ford marked the 50th anniversary of the Thunderbird with a special edition package including a nameplate commemorating the occasion."
http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2005/Ford/Thunderbird/2-Door-Convertible-50th-Anniversary/Standard-Equipment and http://www.thunderbirdconcepts.com/2005-ford-thunderbird-specs.html ..those sites shows the specs for the 50th Anniv. The interior looks like this.
That will go full screen you can really see it well
a 2005 is so desirable that people profit by faking it?!! what a strange world- and I should know-
I have a 65 Special Landau and it has the original owners plaque from Ford still mounted on the tunnel. This was meant to be a 10th Anniversary but some Ford VIP nixed it. I am told it is very rare to have the original plaque still with the car.
There are 2 versions of the 50Th Anniversary Edition. One version comes in several colors and has the 50th anniversary metal plate on the sides ahead of the doors. The real "collector" version is one of the 1500 that were made in ONLY Cashmere Color, came with the Hard top and Carrier, and had the number plate stamp on the inside of the clove box door. I know because I am the original owner of number 1362 and it currently has only 4100 miles on it. I am currently considering selling it due to my failing health and inability to drive it as often as I'd like. I have the original build sheet, and lots of other goodies that make it a real "one-of-a-kind', like custom designed and installed as original 2014 Kenwood Navigation system including backup camera. All original radio parts are boxed and sealed.
Well, it certainly sounds great. If I was 20 years younger, I would talk to you about buying it. I am selling all my cars, hopefully this year and only going to have one when I am done. My bucket list is getting quite small but one item is the Hot Rod Power Cruise. Still want to do it.
I have the 50th Anniversary edition that I'm trying to sell.
I bought it new in 2005.
I would love to purchase your T-Bird if you decide to sell it. R.rehak@yahoo.com

I have a 2005 50th Anniversary Edition in Steel Blue. It is in pristine shape--only 13,000 miles on it. It was my mother-in-laws...she passed and we really don't need the extra car. It has the hard top and the trolley. My husband has reluctantly agreed to put it on the market.
