I have a 2003 Ford TBird 50th Anniversary Edition convertible with removable hard top. How can it be 50 year edition if Thunderbirds weren’t made until 1955?

How can my 2003 Ford Thunderbird be a “50th anniversary edition” if Ford
didn’t make Thunderbirds until 1955? Mine is Thunderbird blue and has
24,500 miles. Pristine.

It is a mess up with the paperwork and the badging because the only 50th anniversaries out there are the 2005 modles my granparents has one and i love it.
