Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The BRAKE light on my dash is red and wont turn
off, it turned on a couple days ago. Brakes make a
groaning sound when braking. My brake pads
were replaced a couple months ago.

Is the grinding coming from the front or back brakes ? If coming from back make sure the emergency brake is fully disengaged. Also sounds like they are going to have to be replaced again if they are grinding and check brake fluid level.

The groaning sound seems to come from the front, could it possibly be my drums?

The front brakes are rotors and calipers so if the grinding is coming from the front one of the caliper pistons is seized up or one of the brake hoses has collapsed.
