Overheating

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car starts to overheat in traffic.  But once the car starts moving again then the
needle goes back to the left.  Could it be the thermostat?

Check the coolant level first. Next check to see if the electric fans are working. When the temp rises, the radiator fans should come on.
