Could the bad starter be an issue with Kia

Asked by Guru9493T8 Sep 05, 2020 at 09:33 PM about the 2013 Kia Optima EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Kia Optima and just had to replace
the starter yesterday at the Kia Dealership in
Merriam Kansas.  Starter was right at 700 dollars.
The motor sounded like it was running,  lights
came on but car wouldn't start.  I'm wondering if a
class action lawsuit needs to be filed.  If enough
people have the same problem?

You have a warranty on the work they did. No need for a giant class action lawsuit where all you get is $100 off on a new KIA.

You probably were just unlucky and got a defective starter. Unfortunately it happens. Use the warranty and get it replaced again for free. Hope that helps! Jim
