Does Kia's factory warranty cove the car after the vehihicle has been sold (I'm the second owner)

The basic warranty does continue to cover the car up to 5 years or 60,000 miles. The power train warranty drops from 10 years 100,000 miles to 5 years or 60,000 miles for succeeding owners.
this sucks..when the dealer tell you your kia is covered to 100,000 miles, even if you are the 2nd owner...done with kia liars
I was never told the 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty wasn't transferable....not sure I asked specifically about that warranty but I did inquiry on warranty n was told it's transferable....didn't realize that KIA considers them separate warranties....i rationally thought that a car uas one warranry with different limitations.....sucks!
I just chatted with Kia Customer Service about 2nd owner warranties. Much of what has already been said is correct. The Powertrain warranty changes from 10 years/100,000 miles to 5 years/60 EXCEPT if you purchase the Kia at a Kia Dealership and it is a Certified Kia. In that case, the 10/100,000 remains.

I was told as a second owner at the kia dealership it was only for 60,000 or 5 years. Where did you get your information?
i just purchased a2014 kia optima with 23000 miles does anyone know how much warrenty is left i am the second owner.
I was also told the warranty was transforable, now I'm finding out it's not!! My car has 7200+ miles so I figured it was covered about another 2800 miles, very disappointed in KIA.
Guess I have buyers remorse. Have had a 2014 for 1-1/2 years. Summer of 2017 air conditioner didn't work. I was charged $150.00 for repairs to this system. 2018 the air conditioner is not working again. Makes a horrible noise. I have over 60,000 miles on this vehicle must mean no coverage is available for the situation. Also have moon/sunroof that is not working. Wouldn't close last time I opened it. Radio comes on by its self.
second owner are you allowed extra 60,000 miles on top of the mileage you buy it for within the 100,000 miles?
Purchased NEW 2015 Sorento.. great vehicle. Got tired of DEALERS bull and needed a second auto so went to CarMax. Purchased 1 owner 2017 Sorento (11K miles) and was told up front that warranty would change to 5/50. I also sold them a pickup a couple years ago and received $3K more for it than a dealer would give me and traded 2014 Maxima in on the 2017 and got $2.2K more than the Nissan guy I purchased 3 Maximas in the past would give me. Done with dealerships. CarMax is best deal no hassle unless you just have to pay for a brand new car.
i was told my cherry hill kia, the warranty was good for 100,000 miles being the second owner.now they tell me i am screwed trans not covered,84,000 miles on car. kia sucks. kia does not take care of the customers.
I purchase a 2016 Kia Forte 2 years ago. I've recently been driving it and now no matter what rate of speed that I'm driving it always seems to shake. What can be the problem, as to why it is shaking? Does the warranty covers anything that's pertaining to that particular matter?
What if you are buying a KIA that is already 5yrs old and 50K miles how does the Second Owner Powertrain warranty work when the factory powertrain warranty down grade is 5yrs/60kmiles? does the 5yr/60K warranty start when the Second Owner buys the car? or is the 5yr based on the original owners purchase date?
