How long does it take for the Catalytic Converter to register on the ECU Computer on a 2000 dodge durango 5.9 ltr
My 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 ltr would shut down when driven about 3
miles so I swapped out the ECU Computer but I don't drive much any
more when my tags and registration came up for renewing it required a
smog check everything passed but when it came to the Emissions part it
came back not ready the smog tech told me to get on the freeway for about
a half hour then bring it back well I put it in the garage and forgot about
it my wife reminded me that I had to get the tags and I went out on the
freeway 30 minutes out so that I had 1 hour round trip I took it back the
tech checked the OBD And still it came back NOT READY is it possible that
the computer is the problem and I should swap it out again what steps
should I do when swapping out the ECU Computer when I did it the first
time I disconnected the battery completely and I also got new battery
How much driving is required after a ECU Computer is swapped out in
order for all systems come back as passed or ready I've tried a cap load of
sites asking this Question but basically it's the same thing drive more .
Is there an average amount of miles or time needed to do it or is it different
on every one I'm kind of in a jam with this I gave it to my 16 year old son
PLEASE HELP THIS VEHICLE MEANS A LOT TO MY BOY THEORY
HAVE BEEN AROUND THE SAME TIME I SURE HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME
WITH THIS SO MY SON CAN KEEP HIS TRUCK
