Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2000 Dodge Intrepid has a 3.2 L V-6 Engine that has a severe oil leak on the passenger side of the engine.  The oil is being slung all over the inside of the wheel and puddles under that side of the car when parked.  I have to add about a quart of oil every other day.  Help.

Get it to a mechanic. If a large amount of oil is being slung around while you are driving then the correct amount of oil is not getting to your engine. It sounds like there could be a cut in one of the oil lines that is spewing out oil into the wheel well. Better to get it checked out now and have the problem fixed than to wait until the engine seizes.

Turned out to be a loose connection where the oil cooler line fastened into the oil cooler. a 1/4 turn of the fastener and the problem was solved. THANKS!
