I have a 2013 Dodge Journey and I am just now encountering the same issue. I've had the battery replaced in the last couple days and I'm wondering if a sensor has to reset
I had the same problem and after a first failure by the Dealer, I had the heating cooling processor changed and it corrected the problem

I m having the same problem with mine its probably the control panel for the ac unit
My Dodge Journey just had the same problem with the ac vents today? Has anyone figured out what it’s from since your post are old. Was just curious as summer is almost here and having one side blow out hot sure isn’t going to help me cool off
I have almost the same problems as those replying to this topic. Obviously, it is a regular problem with the 2013 Dodge Journey and perhaps other, similar vehicles. This appears to be a manufacturing defect. There is only one possible answer posted. I will continue to search and post any answers I find here for others. Since the passenger side of my car only gets intense heat to the floor, heating the end of my metal walking cane so HOT I can't even touch it, I would call this a potential FIRE SAFETY issue and will report it to all the appropriate authorities.
